“Without being able to physically touch a product, photography is an essential component to selling online, whether on your online store or on other channels like Amazon, Etsy, and Instagram,” said David Rusenko, GM, eCommerce at Square. “We built Square Photo Studio because we don’t want anyone to be priced out of professional product photography. We’re always working on new and exciting ways to give online sellers access to the tools they need to make a sale – regardless of what channel they’re selling on.”

Square gives businesses their very own photo-shoot with launch of robotic Photo Studio

Provides sellers access to sleek, professional product photography for just $9.95

Today, Square announced the launch of Square Photo Studio, providing sellers fast access to high-quality, professional and online-ready product photography at 1/10th of the cost of comparable services.

The new service leverages state of the art robotics to provide sellers with an affordable, scalable, and easily accessible alternative to traditional photography, which is often time-consuming and cost-prohibitive. With Square Photo Studio, any online seller can send in a product and have it robotically photographed in under 14 days. For every product that is shipped, sellers receive a pack of three high-resolution, multi-angle, digital photos for just $9.95. Sellers can also purchase a spinning, interactive animation that customers can use to zoom and focus on specific elements for just $29.95.

According to a recent survey of online shoppers (1), 75% of respondents rate photos as very influential when they’re deciding whether they want to buy a product online. For most eCommerce shoppers, a clear product photo is an absolutely vital part of the purchase process. With nearly eight out of ten shoppers expecting to find photos on product pages, and 79% expecting to find product photos from multiple angles, the importance of having professional looking product photos is clear.

Because no two brands are exactly alike, sellers also have complete control over how their product is shot. Need custom angles to make sure a product’s best features shine? Sellers can just highlight what they’d like to see when they place the order.

Carolyn L. Bessette, M.D., founder of Massachusetts based Dr. Bessette Naturals makes exceptional handmade soaps and skincare products that are free from artificial ingredients. While Dr. Bessette is great at making organic soaps, like most small business owners, she isn’t a professional photographer. When she started building her website, she realized that the products with better photography often sold better. “To save time, I used to just take photos on my phone and use them until I realized how painless it was to use Photo Studio,” she said. “After giving it a try I’ve seen firsthand how much of an impact professional photography has on conversion rates. I’ve since photographed more than 60 products and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon!”

The Square Photo Studio is now available to everyone, including non-Square or Weebly sellers, in the US. Learn more at https://squareup.com/us/en/photo-studio.
